Dining and onboard life

Breakfast and lunch are served on board and matched to the selected service level. Hotel dinners are generally separate unless a package specifies otherwise. Dress is polished casual, with layers, sunglasses and a camera more useful than formal wear.

Practical planning

Rocky Mountaineer sells both core rail journeys and multi-night packages, so duration labels can be confusing. A classic two-day rail experience includes one hotel night in Kamloops; longer packages add destination hotels, coaches and activities. There are no sleeping cabins.

Accessibility and individual requirements

The operator can plan boarding assistance and has specific guidance by service level, train equipment and hotel. Review the complete itinerary because coaches and activities may have different access than the train.
