This journey is as much about time away from the railway as time aboard. The representative Namibia itinerary includes visits to the Namib Desert and Etosha, with lodge nights interspersed among train nights. Back aboard, the lounge and open observation platform provide a place to appreciate the changing surroundings. Current accommodation names are Pullman Silver, Pullman Gold and Deluxe, all with private bathrooms. The larger Deluxe category adds sitting space.
